Archaeology Museum

The Catalan Archaeology Museum has a permanent exhibition of archaeological remains illustrating the history of Catalonia and its surroundings during prehistory and ancient history. Its headquarters in Barcelona is located in the old Graphic Arts Pavilion, built at Montjuïc for the Universal Exhibition of 1929. Its collections offer a journey to the roots of Catalonia, from the first men to the medieval period, at the same time offering a view of different cultures from the rest of the Iberian peninsula and of the Mediterranean that had relations with it.
