ARAGON

Since time immemorial, Aragon has been a land of passage and a cultural bridge between the interior of Spain, Mediterranean civilisation and the Atlantic world. The greatest diversity of peoples have lived together within its territory, from Vascons, Iberians and Celts to Romans, Goths, Arabs and Berbers. This mixture of cultures has been reflected in its architecture.

The buildings, streets and squares dedicated to Aragon at El Poble Espanyol make it possible to contemplate different forms of popular architecture adapted to the climate and resources of each place: stone and slate in the Pyrenees, brick on the lowlands and Arab tiles on the roofs.
