VALENCIAN COMMUNITY
The Village has several buildings from the Valencian Community spread around the museum. All of them come from the counties of Castelló de la Plana, in the north of the area, except the copy of the panelling from the Palau de la Generalitat de València and the staircase from the convent of the Jesuits in Oriola, both in El Poble Espanyol Town Hall building.
The Valencian Community has been inhabited since far-off times by Phoenicians, Greeks, Iberians and Romans. Its important Arab legacy still survives in agriculture (rice and oranges) and in traditional crafts.
