Las Arcadas / Navarra / Sangüesa

Sangüesa

Town hall. Known as Las Arcadas (The Arcades), a name given to it because of the four arches that support the two floors this building has in El Poble Espanyol, instead of the single one it has in Sangüesa.

The façade is painted and decorated with sgraffito rhombuses. The coat of arms of Sangüesa indicate that the building was constructed in 1570. It was an extension of the Royal Palace inhabited by the Prince of Viana.
