La visita - grups

THE VISIT

El Poble Espanyol is an area of architectural interest in the City of Barcelona. A tour here fosters a meeting point with history and the mark it has made on popular architecture throughout the Spanish state. Conceived as a real "village”, one can take a look at its plazas and streets, and thoroughly study the world of arts and crafts in the more than 40 craft workshops that are permanently installed here. One can also get to know the private contemporary art collection of the Fran Daurel Foundation, with over 300 works of art, amongst which stands out an extensive sculptural garden with 27 pieces.
It must be mentioned that the crafts from the Village El Poble Espanyol make it an ideal place for purchasing "original" and exclusive items, which set it apart from the normal circuits of standard souvenir shopping.

FREE VISIT

Our clients may go for a walk around the complex on their own or accompanied by one of our guides. We provide a map of the complex highlighting the main points of interest.

GUIDED TOUR

We have a network of professional guides so that our clients may enjoy an interesting walk around the complex. This tour can be booked in advance, in which case their assigned guide will welcome the group at the entrance to the complex.

The guided tour of the architectural museum

During the tour, the guide will explain details about the creation and construction of the Village complex and will show different areas that are not normally open to the public. These are gems; such as the main hall of the Valderrobles Town Council (with a coffered ceiling, a reproduction of the Main Hall of the ancient Palace of the Generalitat of Valencia) or the Romanesque monastery of Sant Miquel (with the reproduction of the Sant Benet de Bages cloister).
The guided tour through the architectural museum can be adapted for school groups.

The guided tour of the Fran Daurel Foundation

The guided tour to the Foundation offers the chance to thoroughly study 20th Century avant-garde art and learn extremely interesting details about the work of artists such as Picasso, Dalí, Miró, Chillida, Guinovart ...
