The Festival

This year, the Barcelona Puppet Festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary… and we want to celebrate this special edition with you!

The weekend of March 16th and 17th, the hosts at Poble Espanyol will once again be Czech, glove, tabletop and marionette puppets, as well as Chinese shadows and muppets, welcoming children and adults with open arms. They will be in charge of telling you fantastic and incredible stories in different spaces, including everywhere from the Monastery to the theatre, as well as several squares inside the premises.

This must-see annual event for puppet lovers will incorporate more than 60 shows of 14 national and international companies, each with a duration of between 10 and 50 minutes, which will take place at different times and in various spaces. Two days of maximum fun in which boys and girls of all ages (even babies!) will get lost in their imagination, meeting exciting characters and travelling all over the world through exciting stories. And they can also try their hand at becoming puppeteers, handling puppets of all different formats.

Don’t miss this activity for children in Barcelona. A unique weekend for enjoying puppets with the whole family!
