Poble Espanyol is taken over by a huge Medieval Fair
Following the success of the first edition, on the weekend of 4-6 November 2016 Poble Espanyol will again be travelling back in time to the Middle Ages to celebrate the Medieval Fair and fill the complex with heraldry symbols, awnings, standards, a market, animation and a host of other activities for the whole family.
The Fair will start off with an opening passacaglia on Friday 4 November from 6:30pm. Afterwards, visitors will be able to spend three days in a genuine mediaeval village with a huge market in the Main Square and 70 stalls selling arts and crafts products, sausage, cheese and cakes and even a tavern.
The youngest family members will be able to participate in typical mediaeval activities: archery, a knights training school and enjoy the medieval attractions, puppet show and kids area.
One of the most representative venues is the Camp with its armour, shields and other decorative elements of that era and knights fighting. At the esoteric show, four fortune-tellers will create an exciting atmosphere of magic and mystery.
Town criers, jugglers, theatre and music animation, circus performers and the exhibition of medieval torture systems will also take part in the fair, a genuine festival where you can enjoy a fantastic day.
