The show

Return of a Christmas classic: Trencanous de Butxaca (The Nutcracker), the traditional story in the form of a dance performance for the whole family to enjoy.

The curtain rises and we find ourselves in the lounge of the Stahlbaum family on Christmas night. Clara, her small brother Fritz and the other family members are celebrating Christmas when a mysterious godfather, Herr Drosselmeyer, arrives with a sack of presents.

Clara is delighted with her gift, a nutcracker in the shape of a soldier in uniform, but her brother breaks it in a fit of jealousy. Everyone goes to bed, but Clara awakes suddenly and sees that the nutcracker has come to life. A giant Christmas tree, the mice, the prince, the kingdom of sweets, the sugar plum fairy.. was it all a dream? Come and find out!

The company

The Anna Arboix company has respected the principal choreography of this classic, and included an actress who narrates what is happening in each scene, so that everyone can follow the story, with exquisite classic dance costumes and musical fragments from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite.
