We have a new craftsman in the Poble!

Poble Espanyol has welcomed a new craft workshop: La casa del Alfarero. With 40 years of experience as a ceramics craftsman, he has moved into a bright and spacious venue where all visitors, both children and adults, can see for themselves how he works with his hands and the lathe and only sells things he has made himself.

In addition, Juan Manuel Becerra Jiménez, allows visitors to do quick 20 minute workshops at a very affordable price to learn the craft of pottery first-hand and understand the surprising and interesting experience of making a ceramic piece with their own hands that they can take home.

Poble Espanyol thus consolidates its status as a unique centre of craftsmanship (https://www.poble-espanyol.com/artesania-barcelona/) and exclusive shopping in Barcelona and Catalonia. Open 365 days a year, the venue hosts more than 20 workshops where you can see the work of professionals in leather, jewellery, stained glass, guitars…  And now also ceramics! These trades let visitors learn about the artisanal tradition of Spain and buy original and customised products.
